For the annual charity gala, the client sought to transform a historic, 19th-century ballroom into a surreal, immersive visual experience. The concept involved using dozens of giant, highly reflective spheres to break up the classical architecture, mimicking a kaleidoscopic, infinite space.
However, the venue had strict weight restrictions on its mezzanine balcony. Traditional solid acrylic or glass mirror balls (over 1 meter in diameter) weigh hundreds of kilograms, posing a serious structural risk and requiring dangerous crane operations.
The client's critical specifications were:
